Why Failure and Fear of Fairlure is a Good thing

This is great stuff. I have listened to Colin Cowherd for many years on ESPN Radio, to be honest listening to his show over the years especially during the lowest point of my life changed my life completely. I can remember certain things he said on air that have changed my life. Some of those I was driving from Virginia to Ohio. Some of them I was driving from Connecticut to Detroit. I remember at one point, I was fearful about life and the fear of failure. But Colin theory about being mock can bring the best out of you regardless of who you are. The fear of failure drove me out of Worcester,Mass. I didn't want to be like everyone else, I didn't want to be in a environment where people will break you down when you are down. I wanted to find my own identity. Failure and being mocked when I was down allowed me to seek myself and to find happiness. In essence it actually made me who I am today. Those failure and fear pushed me to the edge to make decisions that most people I know in my age group will not have made.

Colin Cowherd explains to Bill Simmons that:

Great food comes from countries with dictators. No body orders Canadian, or Australian. Dictators bring pain and bring explosion of talents. The way talent is created is, it is created by unbalanced people often motivated by fear or escapism. So when you have a social net for everything and we all safe all the time then where is the fear. He asserts that when there is fear, there is room for improvement to better ourselves as a society.

Colin explained that fear drove his entire show as he is afraid that he may go on the air for 4 hours and may not have anything to say. He went to say that fear has driven his entire career. He mentioned that he is not rooting for poverty, but if you take a look at Michael Jordan, he is still mad about the high school coach and that's why he is great. He is great, because he had so much pain and anger that he wanted to proof his doubters wrong.

Bill Simmons claims that Lebron may have missed the fear and anger gene as oppose to Jordan. Lebron ultimately had everything coming out of high school, while Jordan didn't. This in essence allowed Lebron to lay back somewhat. As time went on and the media, the public became his enemy, he ultimately acquired the fear of not being the KING JAMES he was crowned to be. His anger and failure to win the NBA finals in 2011 changed him forever.

When you lose, when you fail, it doesn't matter. It is how you pick yourself up.
