There have been several reports speculating the reasons for the DeSean Jackson release from the Philadelphia Eagles. Here is my personal take in all of this, the Eagles or any NFL team can release a player for any reason. They are a team, and a business. They have every right to go at the direction they want to go as they see fit. The problem I have with DeSean Jackson though is his immaturiy and how he doesn't realize the NFL is a brand. Since the Hernandez incident, teams are taking proactive measures to reduce any negative association from players who they see as a detrimental to the team. Now the Eagles may have had their own reasons. You see, you cannot run an anti bullying campaign and charitable organization then go online and promote Rappers who have been sent to jail for attempted murder and is part of the crip gang in L.A

This Rapper who has been around for a very long time with his days with Snoop Dogg is now 47yrs old set to be release from jail in April.
DeSean Jackson has to understand that he is a professional NFL player and he has to represent the brand. To me it doesn't matter how many charities you do if you are still promoting rap music of gang bangers who are in jail for attempted murder. All these might not be the reason DeSean was let go with the Eagles. But I can guarantee you that DeSean is not being smart in how he is surrounding himself with these guys. He is a talented player and needs to distance himself from these guys completely. Just because you grew up with them, it doesn't mean you have to roll with them. There is a saying "Show me your friends, and I will show you your character".
