USA will be facing the Ghana Blackstars the third time in consecutive worldcup. The U.S side has lost the last two previously World Cup matches against Ghana in a group stage in 2006 and in the Round of 16 in 2010. This year, they are facing is what is deemed as the Group of death with Germany and Portugal. In essence the Ghana-USA matchup has always been one sided. The U.S looks to get a revenge while Ghana hopes to get a 3-PEAT and move ahead in their guest to move to the next round. Key players for Ghana are Asamoah Gyan and Andre Ayew. If Gyan can attack the 18 yardline and move the ball up to make some shots, Ghana will have a good chance of winning. Will Asamoah Gyan get over the hump from the previous world cup against Uruguay? Gyan seems to be the #1 striker for Ghana,and when he has a good game all bets are off.
On the U.S side Micaheal Bradley looks better than ever but with the absence of Landon Donovan will the U.S be able to make an attack on the Ghana side?
