For Ghana to get back in the action, here are couple of scenarios that needs to happen.

If Ghana WINS and PORTUGAL WINS

Ghana beat Germany by 1 and U.S lose to Portugal by 2
Ghana beat Germany by 2 and Portugal wins 1 or more goals.
If this scenario comes to frutition. This will be the standing



GERMANY 3 with 2 or 3 GD
GHANA 3 with 0 or 1 GD
USA 3 with -1 or -2 GD
PORTGL 3 with -2 or -3 GD


If Ghana WINS and U.S WINS

If U.S beat Portugal by 1 and Ghana has to beat Germany 4 or more to be in play

Then you will have the standing as


USA 6 with +2 GD
Ghana 3 with +1 or 2 GD
Germany 3 with -1GD
PORTGL 0 with -5 GD


If U.S WINS against Portugal and Germany beats Ghana. Ghana will be Eliminated as well as Portugal.

In the 2006 Ghana lost their first game and went on to win their remaining two games to advance.
While Czech Republic who was in the same group as Ghana who won their first game, went to lose their remaining games.
